Our Journey
In 1958, Shankar Market was allotted to refugees from Pakistan, marking the beginning of an inspiring story for our founder, Atam Prakash Khanna. Facing challenges with unwavering determination, he worked tirelessly to provide the best life for his wife and children. With a vision and passion, he established a shop, carefully stocking it with an exquisite array of fabric prints that captivated customers. Ladies of all ages flocked to purchase these fabrics for their dresses, and soon, his charm and dedication earned him the affectionate title of “the Ladies’ Man.” With a gentle yet firm voice, he welcomed customers, showcasing the latest dress materials and even sharing his tiffin, a gesture that endeared him to all.
As a young boy, I joined my father at the shop, where he instilled in me the value of hard work—whether mopping floors or serving water. That training still flows through my veins, shaping the exceptional service we offer today at A.P. Khanna Textiles.
